Sometimes when I'm building a new table, I realize one of the fields should be a foreign key, but I want to continue building that table and define the new table later. Usually I just make it a text field and then normalize it later
But it would be nice if there was an option to define the foreign key table later. At this point, all we need is a name for the field and we can create the table and add a Name column to it. Turn on history logging automatically. Let the user add auditing if they like later, which I'll talk about.
So, when the user selects Pick From New Table from the list they'll be prompted to enter a name for the field. Then after saving the table, instead of going to the input form for the table, they'll be taken to the Table Management (Add Column) page for the first of the undefined foreign key tables.
